News
Many people seem to think the news and history are very important. I do not see the point to be honest. I think learning about Martin Luther is interesting, but why do I care about Japanese wars that do not concern America or who invented the printing press? If you open the newspaper it is filled with things that do not appeal to everyone, such as sports. Some poeple love it, others could care less. I believe if something is so important then eventually you will get word of it.
Tired of being tossed around.
Registering for college should not be as hard as WKU and OCTC are making it. I just need to know what classes at OCTC I should take, so they will transfer to WKU. That shouldnt be hard at all considering I have declared my major, found course numbers, and preresequits. However it seems like no one can tell me what to take, and it's becoming quite irritating. Ms Kreke could not give me a sure answer, WKU referred me to an advisor that said that wasn't his area of expertiese, and OCTC's Art teacher is trying to help but he even is a bit confused.
Macbeth
I think there should be more questions on the act quizzes. If you dont know a question on the quizzes you are pretty much up the creek without a paddle. I would assume there be twice as many questions, so then they would count for less. That could be the difference in a letter grade for some of us. Most of our grades are coming from vocab and Macbeth, and Macbeth is holding me back. I could explain a whole act to someone good enough for them to get the jist, but I may miss a detail or two.

Sleeping in school
Kids should be able to sleep in school if it does not affect their learning ability. If you can sleep through a lesson and still pass the class or do the work, then teachers shouldnt care. Sleeping also starts arguments. The kids will say they were listening and the teachers will say the kids were sleeping. Some times it's hard to get to sleep at night or something may have happened. Would it be better to skip school or rest during first period? Sleeping shouldn't be a concern.
Ways to say no
- Not in a million years.
- Maybe when hell freezes over.
- Hit the road Jack.
- I don't think so.
- Uh, I gotta go.
- I'm not going to do it.
- Never.
Ways to say no without saying no.

Math
Sometimes I fell like the math teacher in my class. I think Mr. Wethington is a great teacher but some people do not understand him until he explains the homework already done. I can dumb things down pretty good. I can simply things pretty good. I usually help about six people everyday in math. I wish all teachers would make everything as simple as possible.
Camera
I'm thinking about getting a high dollar camera for graduation. For my bachelors degree I am going for general graphics. I think it would be neat to have a camera capable of high resolution that provides a crisp picture. I could then upload those pictures to my computer and take them an extra step farther and edit them. I think it would be neat.
Survival supplies
If I could take 5 things to help me survive I would take a machete, axe, pot, flint, and a medical kit. An axe would help me cut down larger trees that would help me build a sturdy shelter. The machete would be better for cutting through brush and smaller plants. The flint could be used with either the machete or axe to creat a fire. I could then cook food and boil water with the use of the fire and pot. A medical kit has lots of useful items that could be useful when you become sick. Some medicla kits even contain scissors, ducktape, and sting.
